Also found this fun site whilst surfing - strangemaps. My favorite is the United States of Florida.
On a less humorous and more “things that make you go hmmmm” note. This map from that same site shows some maps of post WWII Germany. My father’s side of the family comes from East Prussia - wonder what would have happened if they hadn’t been kicked out of their home and relocated to “West” Germany.
