Instant Millions Can’t Halt Winners’ Grim Slide - New York Times
Everyone has dreams of winning the lottery - who hasn’t sat around and said, “Man, if I win the MegaMillions, I’d never have to work again, and all my family and friends won’t have to work either”.
Then you read stories like that NYTimes story, and you wonder, what would really happen? Would friends and family start ripping you off? Would you become a drug addict alcoholic shithead?
Scott at ExtraLife thinks that Lost (my favorite TV show) is a ripoff of Myst - the video game that swallowed my life for a period back in the day.
I loved this episode - esp. because Kate is, as Scott mentions in his Blog, HAWT.
I was actually in NJ when the episode aired, but I caught it last night. What’s up with all the commercials? Damn, is the show even 20 minutes long? Thank God for TiVo.
I don’t really like the idea of finding the second half of the film on the other side of the island, and I just realized last night that two characters on the show were actually on another former favorite show of mine - HBO’s Oz. Thankfully, Michael can walk on Lost.
What’s the deal with Walt, though? Is he really in front of a computer? Or is he dead and talking through the antiquated PC?
Oh, JJ Abrams, you’ve got me hooked.
And Steph found the opening scene with a shirtless Jin (sp?) very satisfying. I need to hit the gym.
