Blogebrity

Its a normal morning. Girlfriend woke up earlier than I need to, but I walk her to her car and we have coffee. Come home, check e-mail, and then start my normal daily surfing.

First up, del.icio.us popular links - always a nice way to see whats going on in the multi-universe of the internets. Interestingly, when I get to blogebrity I do a quick ctrl+f for my last name, never thinking that I’d be here. But, I am. The link goes directly to boston.metblogs but it still has my name. OK, fine, I’m a C-list blogger, hell I have a job! I can’t post every fifteen minutes about the minutae of my life! Nor do I have wonderful insights into the latest and greatest technological advances. I read Wired, just like you do.

Naturally I did a little surfing around the other bloggers listed, and wound up full circle to a post in blogging.la that sheds a little light on the whole subject.

But, I don’t care, I’m at least somewhat famous. Woohoo!

Oh crap, is that my 15 minutes of fame? I was already famous for 5 minutes in the early 90s when I was on MTV. Wish I had that video tape…

Metroblogging Boston: Green Line Extension

Wrote a little blurb for Metroblogging - I’m so happy that the ‘T’ is getting some expansion, just wonder what the cons are. I mean, the Big Dig sounded like a good idea, and now its a leaky mess!

Metroblogging Boston: Green Line Extension
Any extensions and expansions of Boston’s ‘T’ are welcomed in my book.
Getting onto the Red Line from the Blue Line would make commuting to
the airport via public transportation much more accessible. The trolley
system in JP would make it much easier to get to that funky part of
town. Extending the Green Line sounds like a good idea, but will the
‘B’ train continue to stop every 15 feet?

Importing audio book CDs into iTunes Aldoblog

Importing audio book CDs into iTunes Aldoblog

I don’t really listen to audio books, but this sounds interesting, I would not have thought that iTunes would make it problematic to import. I’ll be taking a long drive this weekend, might have to stop by the Boston Public Library to pick up an audiobook and see if this works!

Richard P. Feynman - Biography

Today is Richard P. Feynman’s birthday!

And it looks like its going to be a beautiful day in Boston - I might have to take a nice long walk around town to see what the town has to offer on such a lovely day.

DrunkSex: Luck Be This Lady, Twice

Why can’t this be me?

DrunkSex: Luck Be This Lady, Twice

My big question is, after you win a $1 million jackpot on a slot machine, why would you ever go back? Isn’t the point of playing the slots to win big and then be done? Was the $1 million not enough?

I hope Gerty does as well in Vegas!

Go GERTY GO!

Will the weather ever turn?

Its been mostly crappy with a chance of occasional shittiness in Boston of late, but the sun is slowly peeking its head out. I’m trying to multi-task (multi-slack?): working, writing, reading and getting out into the garden. I’m off to Boston a little later for an important meeting, I wonder where those nice clothes are? Yesterday was a complete wash - all I did was surf the freakin web and do a very small bit of writing. Made a nice dinner though, so all isn’t lost. We lost a crazy daisy to the rains, lets hope its the only loss of the season. Lots of things are looking good, so we’re hopeful.

Maybe, if we’re lucky, we’ll get included in this book: The Most Beautiful Gardens in the World but I’m not holding my breath :) Kind of hard with such limited space to make a garden worthy of being called the most beautiful in the world. But it will be gorgeous, that’s for sure!
