Now I’ll be singing this all day!

Its a beautiful day in Boston and I’m already ‘hard at work’. Not going to be a bad day - and I have an eventful weekend to look forward to. The garden at ‘my better half’s” house is shaping up nicely, we just need some more nice weather to plant more seedlings. Soon, it will be the talk of the town.

I’ll be out and about tonight, which will be nice - nothing like a Boy’s Night Out to keep those stress levels down. The apartment could use a thorough cleaning, but such is bachelor life.

Tomorrow I’ll be going out to Quincy, MA to see Darkbuster play, gotta love local punk. Hoping I can manage to try and run tomorrow morning, I’d love to be able to play soccer this coming Fall.

All in all, life is good.

Wrote a little blurb about a recent Boston Globe story re: Metroblogging Boston: Closing Time - You Don’t Have to Go Home, But You Can’t Stay Here. I wonder if this will ever actually go through - Boston Bars open until 4 am. Yes, I know the blurb is actually about hotel bars staying open later, but that’s just the first step, don’t you think?

I still like Boston’s early closing times. Unless I’m getting back from a trip and its late, and I can’t get a drink anywhere

In anticipation of their upcoming studio release, Pearl Jam along with the Ten Club are proud to announce a 15 city tour of the great country of Canada. The tour opens on September 2nd in Vancouver, B.C. and ends up in St. John’s Newfoundland on September 24th. The Ten Club pre-sale starts today April 25, 2005 and ends Monday, May 9, 2005, at 5:00 pm pacific time.

• Ten Club tickets will be sold ONLY on-line and ONLY at pearljam.com. There will be no mail order for Ten Club tickets on this tour.
• The base ticket price for the tour is $59.50 CDN ($52.06 USD) per ticket plus applicable fees. Ten Club tickets available in pairs only. No single ticket sales. There will be a $3.50 USD service charge per ticket plus a $1.53 USD bank card processing fee per ticket.
• Visa and Mastercard are the only acceptable forms of payment.
• You can buy only one pair of tickets per show but there is no limit to the number of shows fan club members can attend.
• Tickets will be allocated using seniority in the Ten Club.
• An email confirmation will arrive in advance of the public on-sale.
• Ten Club tickets are for members only. Members must show photo I.D, at venue will call window to pick up tickets on day-of-show only.
• Re-selling Ten Club tickets will result in revocation of fan club privileges.

Here’s how the system will work:

Go to http://secure.pearljam.com/ and log in to your Ten Club account. If you are not an up-to-date member you will not be eligible for Canadian tickets. You cannot purchase a membership and be eligible for tickets at this time. However, purchasing a membership now will allow you to purchase tickets to future dates AFTER the Canadian tour. Once we process ALL of the ticket orders, we will prioritize the seats according to your member number. Tickets will be available for you at the Ten Club ticket window prior to each show. You MUST show your photo I.D. to get your tickets.

Please note: besides this being the first time we’ve offered Ten Club tickets on-line, there are two more major changes in progress.

1. Tickets will not be distributed in “blocks�. We listened to your feedback and took note of the problems with the block system. On this tour we will secure all of the tickets prior to the shows and allocate them ahead of time. So your tickets will be in an envelope with your name on it at the Ten Club ticket window before the show. So showing up early will not get you a better seat. This time we mean it.

2. We will use some of the seats in the “wings� for the Ten Club. There are really great seats that are located just off the floor, but very close to the sides of the stage. We haven’t used these seats for Ten Club members on previous tours, but we think that those seats are far superior to those that are towards the back of the floor and we think that those seats should be filled with Ten Club members. It’s not going to be an exact science, but we’ll do our best to prioritize seats to make sure Ten Club members get the “best seats in the house.�
